About

Mayim, LLC is the leader in making sensor data useful and actionable. Mayim has teamed up with multiple vendors to provide you with complete solutions for monitoring farms, the environment and controlling irrigation.

Sensorweb is the product of a five-year USDA NIFA project run by the University of Maryland to bring together researchers and growers to develop methods of precision agriculture. Sensorweb was developed at Carnegie Mellon University by David Kohanbash and Dr. George Kantor, and has been licensed by Mayim. It was field tested in almost two dozen sites throughout the United States as part of the initial development.

Mayim is Hebrew for water, which is fitting as our core product is all about saving water.

Worked with Sensorweb for 5 years in my greenhouse. I would recommend Mayim to anyone without hesitation.

They have always been accessible and and attentive. Whenever I had an issue it was always resolved in a timely manner.

It is a great tool for both researchers and for on-farm sensor-based irrigation.

We have been able to reduce our water use by 25%

Since incorporating the data we get from sensor web into our irrigation scheduling we have been able to reduce our water use by 25%, this has also allowed us to expand our production without expanding infrastructure. We also use less fertilizer since our leaching is reduced.

Sensorweb allows me to access greenroof data remotely; this expedited access to the data supports better and faster analysis for both research and teaching purposes.

Sensorweb provides greater assurance that your plants are being watered correctly, not just some of the time, but all the time.

The system's capacity to provide real-time feedback allows me to monitor the moisture content of my plants with relative ease--from anywhere I have an internet connection. Sensorweb has elevated our irrigation from an art form to one, which is more technical and predictable.

Sensorweb system makes Raemelton Farm more efficient in our use of water and more effective at producing beautiful trees, quickly

Tracking soil moisture and environmental conditions are key tasks in the efficient production of nursery crops. Sensorweb integrates these tasks into a single use-anywhere platform. The added ability to manage irrigation scheduling, remotely over our entire farm is a major labor saving benefit. Sensorweb is even able to provide warnings and notifications to our staff when conditions require human attention. The Sensorweb system makes Raemelton Farm more efficient in our use of water and more effective at producing beautiful trees, quickly.
