Mayim’s Sensorweb gives you the tools to monitor your crops and automatically control irrigation based on real time data from wireless sensors in the field. Using Sensorweb you can view the current conditions of your crops, control irrigation settings, configure alerts, and view prior data from anywhere over the internet. Irrigation control is done using plant models as well as other growing tools to evaluate if individual solenoids should be activated.

Sensorweb is also an important tool for monitoring green roofs and measuring how much storm-water is captured.

Sensorweb allows easy access to sensor data and provides the advanced features to make the most of your data. Sensorweb is compatible with Decagon EM50R, EM50G, nR5, and nR5-DC nodes; and will soon support the next generation Decagon nodes! Some of the features in Sensorweb include:

Sensorweb Versions

Standalone

This is the standard version capable of communicating with local radio nodes, cellular nodes, and controlling irrigation. The standalone Sensorweb has a basestation that needs to be installed at the site where the radio nodes are located (cellular nodes can still be located anywhere).

The standalone basestation relies on the internet connection at the site where Sensorweb is installed. In remote sites a cellular modem can be used to provide access to your Sensorweb basestation. Contact Mayim for more information.

Hosted

Hosted versions of Sensorweb are a special service designed for those that only use cellular nodes (such as the Decagon EM-50G) and do not need the irrigation tools. With hosted services Sensorweb lives on a Mayim server and you do not need to purchase any basestation hardware.

Control Nodes

Mayim has developed an irrigation control node that can control AC Solenoids, DC Latching Solenoids and Pumps.

Monitoring Nodes

Sensorweb supports many different types of wireless data logging nodes from Decagon Devices and they can all be purchased direct from Mayim.

Using wireless nodes greatly reduces the cost and work involved with using monitoring and/or controlling your site.

Some of the supported nodes include:
EM50r: Provides the ability to monitor up to 5 different sensors and wirelessly transmits the data to a Sensorweb radio. This is great for when the basestation and nodes are in the same location.
EM50g: Provides the ability to monitor up to 5 different sensors and wirelessly transmits the data via a cellular network to Sensorweb. This is great for when nodes are in different locations and far away from the Sensorweb basestation.
nR5: The nR5 is truly a wireless node and is capable of reading from 5 sensors and controlling one 24VAC solenoid.
nR5-DC: Similar to the nR5 but can control a DC latching solenoid.

Since incorporating the data we get from sensor web into our irrigation scheduling we have been able to reduce our water use by 25%, this has also allowed us to expand our production without expanding infrastructure. We also use less fertilizer since our leaching is reduced.
